How to Buy KIM

⚠️ Important Notice: The KIM token is not yet deployed. This guide outlines the planned purchase methods and wallet setup for when KIM becomes available.

Token Status​

Get a NEAR Wallet First​

Before purchasing KIM tokens, you'll need a NEAR wallet to store and interact with NEAR-based assets.

1. Create a NEAR Wallet​

Option A: Intear Wallet (Official)

  1. Visit wallet.intear.tech
  2. Click "Create Account"
  3. Choose a unique account name (e.g., yourname.near)
  4. Secure your account with passphrase

Option B: MyNEARWallet

  1. Go to mynearwallet.com
  2. Click "Create New Account"
  3. Follow the setup process
  4. Choose your account ID

Option C: Meteor Wallet

  1. GO to Meteor Wallet web wallet
  2. Create a new wallet
  3. Save your seed phrase securely

2. Wallet Security Best Practices​

  • Backup Your Seed Phrase: Write down your 12-word recovery phrase and store it offline
  • Enable 2FA: Use two-factor authentication when available
  • Verify URLs: Always check you're on the official wallet website
  • Never Share Private Keys: Keep your private keys and seed phrases secret
  • Use Burner Wallets & Rotate Keys: NEAR allow you to rotate keys and regularly use fresh wallets.

3. Fund Your NEAR Wallet​

To interact with NEAR dApps and purchase tokens, you'll need NEAR tokens:

Planned Purchase Methods​

On Rhea Finance​

Rhea Finance will be the primary DEX for KIM token trading on NEAR.

When KIM is Available:

  1. Connect Wallet

    • Visit rhea.finance
    • Click "Connect Wallet"
    • Select your NEAR wallet

  2. Swap NEAR for KIM

    • Navigate to the Swap interface
    • Select NEAR as input token
    • Select KIM as output token
    • Enter amount and confirm swap

  3. Add KIM to Wallet

    • Copy KIM token contract address (will be provided upon deployment)
    • Add as custom token in your wallet

Rhea Finance Resources:

Launch on cooked.business (Solana)​

Planned Solana Integration:

  1. Solana Wallet Setup

    • Install Phantom, Solflare, or similar Solana wallet
    • Fund with SOL for transaction fees

  2. Purchase on cooked.business

    • Visit cooked.business (when KIM launches)
    • Connect Solana wallet
    • Purchase KIM tokens directly

Bridge Between Networks​

NEAR ↔ Solana Bridge (Planned)

When cross-chain functionality is available:

  1. Supported Bridges:

    • Connect source wallet (NEAR or Solana)
    • Select KIM token and amount
    • Confirm bridge transaction
    • Wait for confirmation (typically 5-15 minutes)
    • Receive tokens on destination chain

  3. Bridge Fees:

    • Network gas fees (varies by congestion)
    • Bridge protocol fees (typically 0.1-0.3%)
