The Guess Game is an interactive challenge where users test their skills at identifying North Korean hackers from profile information. Players analyze social media profiles and decide whether they belong to legitimate users or suspected North Korean operatives.

Getting Started​

  1. Connect Your Wallet

    • Click "Connect Wallet" in the top navigation
    • Select your NEAR wallet provider
    • Authorize the connection
    • Your KIM token balance will be displayed

  2. Daily Limits & Resources

    • Daily Guesses: 5 attempts per day (resets at midnight)
    • Free Clues: 2 per day
    • Starting Balance: 50 KIM tokens for new players
    • Guess Cost: Free (part of daily limit)

How to Play​

Step 1: Analyze the Profile​

  • Review the displayed profile information:
    • Username and Platform (GitHub, LinkedIn, Telegram)
    • Bio/Description
    • Location and Join Date
    • Platform-specific stats (repos, followers, connections, etc.)

Step 2: Use Clues (Optional)​

  • Free Clues: Click "Get Free Clue" (2 per day)
  • Paid Clues: Purchase additional clues for 5 KIM tokens each
  • Clues reveal suspicious patterns like:
    • Account creation vs. claimed experience inconsistencies
    • Unusual activity timing for claimed location
    • Profile information mismatches

Step 3: Make Your Guess​

  • "Legitimate" Button: Click if you believe it's a real, non-malicious profile
  • "Hacker" Button: Click if you suspect North Korean hacking activity
  • Decision is final once submitted

Step 4: Review Results​

  • Correct Guess: +10 points, positive feedback
  • Incorrect Guess: 0 points, explanation of actual status
  • Revealing Clues: All detection clues are shown after guessing

Scoring & Rewards​

Daily Performance​

  • Perfect Score Bonus: Get all 5 daily guesses correct → +100 KIM tokens
  • Streak Tracking: Consecutive perfect days increase your streak
  • Leaderboard Ranking: Top performers featured in Hall of Fame

Purchasing Options​

  • Extra Attempts: 10 KIM tokens per additional daily guess
  • Extra Clues: 5 KIM tokens per clue after free limit

Strategy Tips​

  1. Profile Age vs. Activity: New accounts with extensive activity can be suspicious
  2. Location Consistency: Check if activity patterns match claimed location
  3. Writing Style: Look for inconsistencies in language use
  4. Cross-Platform Analysis: Consider if profile details align across platforms
  5. Use Clues Strategically: Save free clues for difficult profiles

  • Master Detective Status: Top 3 performers get special recognition
  • Platform Expertise: Specialization badges for GitHub/LinkedIn experts
  • Statistics Tracked: KIM tokens earned, catches made, current streak
